How We Can Help

The VI F2FHIC supports families of children with special needs

The VI F2FHIC supports families of children with special needs through health promotion, family leadership development, peer-to-peer support, and professional development of the professionals charged with serving these families.

Beyond Visions Foundation (BVF) in partnership with the Virgin Islands Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. (VIDDC) is in the process of establishing the VI Familty2Family Network, Inc. (VIF2F Network) that will also become an affiliate member of the Family Voices National organization and will oversee the Virgin Islands Family-to-Family Health Information Center(s) in collaboration with the BVF, the VIDDC and other network partners.

Culturally relevant and respectful evaluation design incorporates ongoing qualitative and quantitative methods integrated with formative evaluations throughout each project year and summative evaluations at the end of each year. Families and parents will become more involved in the healthcare of their children and empowered through advocacy and access to systems of care.
