Parent Navigation Leaders 


The Family-to-Family/Health Information Center is overseen by volunteer parents that will be the initial board of directors, who each bring valuable life experience and skills to the table. Vienna Khodra

Chair

Vienna Khodra has been an employee of the Virgin Islands Department of Education for the past eighteen years. She’s also a member and the Chair of VI F2F Network, Inc.

Sharifa Hendrickson

Treasurer

Sharifa is the ambitious treasurer of the VI F2F Network, Inc.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescence Development.

Chevell Simeon

Secretary

Chevell A. Simeon is a mother and educator with a passion for advocating for individuals of all abilities. As a mother of two young boys diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Ms. Simeon was thrust into a world of being a caregiver.

Jacqueline Thomas

Board Member

My name is Jacqueline Thomas and I am a board member of VI F2F Network, Inc.  I had the privilege of being one of the first parent leaders along with Vienna Khodra, Chair to attend the National Family Voices Conference in March 2019.

Monica Petty

Board Member

My name is Monica Petty and I live on the Island of St. Croix. I serve as a board member on the Virgin Islands Developmental Disabilities Council and VI F2F Network, Inc.

Andrea Dubois

Board Member

Andrea is the devoted mother of Elijah Dubois, her son who shares her passsion for community engagement as a  member of the VI Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. Andrea is will known to St. Croix familieis as a professional caregiver to assist and go the extra mile for those in her care.

Yvonne Petersen is presently the Territorial Executive Director and the Project Director has over 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit management and operations field. She works closely with training and building a parent navigation team and assist with the organizational and program development.

Recruitment of Parent Health Navigators and  Board Members



The VI Family2Family Network Inc. (VI F2F Network) invites parents or caregivers of children with special healthcare needs to join the organization.  We provide opportunities for training, professional development and opportunities to engage with others.  Such training is conducted with our collaborative partners in  areas such as Individual Education Plans (IEP); Toastmasters to learn how to improve conversations and presentations; and other professional development.

Community Partners and Government/Private Agencies


Through partnerships, we intend to empower families of children with special health care needs through family leadership development, peer-to-peer support, mentorship and support of new and existing family mentors, webinar and in-person training and technical assistance, policy training, and education. Key government and private organizations are also included.
